NASA discovered Saturn’s mysterious atmosphere boasts diamonds raining down on the planet, it was revealed during a new documentary. Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest in the Solar System, only behind Jupiter. It is a gas giant with an average radius about nine times that of Earth and it’s most famous feature is its prominent ring system made up of ice and dust. However, while many scientists have spent years trying to understand how and when these features emerged, they have stumbled across an even more bizarre discovery inside its atmosphere. Like Jupiter, Saturn is a massive ball made mostly of hydrogen and helium, but it contains much more sulphur than its fellow sister planet.
