NASA Discovers - Saturn’s mysterious atmosphere boasts 'diamonds' raining down on the planet

Image
NASA discovered Saturn’s mysterious atmosphere boasts diamonds raining down on the planet, it was revealed during a new documentary. Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest in the Solar System, only behind Jupiter.   It is a gas giant with an average radius about nine times that of Earth and it’s most famous feature is its prominent ring system made up of ice and dust. However, while many scientists have spent years trying to understand how and when these features emerged, they have stumbled across an even more bizarre discovery inside its atmosphere.   Like Jupiter, Saturn is a massive ball made mostly of hydrogen and helium, but it contains much more sulphur than its fellow sister planet.   Brian Cox revealed during his new BBC series “The Planets” how NASA’s Cassini probe made a shock discovery when taking a closer look at its weather in 2013.   He said last month: “By studying the cloud tops of Saturn and its great ...

Mystery - NASA probe discovered unexplainable trait about Uranus

Image
NASA discovered the planet Uranus is surrounded by “mysterious” rings just like fellow gas giant Saturn , a new documentary revealed. The Voyager programme was first launched by NASA in 1977 to take advantage of a favourable alignment of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Although the original mission was to study only the planetary systems of Jupiter and Saturn , Voyager 2 continued on to Uranus and Neptune. Data and photographs collected by Voyager's cameras, magnetometers and other instruments, revealed unknown details about each of the four giant planets and their moons. Brian Cox revealed during his new BBC show “ The Planets ” the groundbreaking revelations. Dr Cox said last month:   “A lmost nine years after leaving Earth, Voyager approached an entirely new class of planet. “J ust like Jupiter and Saturn, the planet’s upper atmosphere is composed mostly of swirling hydrogen and helium gas and hidden beneath lies an exotic, icy mix of methane, ammo...

Did NASA photograph a flying bird on Mars?

Image
Recently, a prominent UFO conspiracy theorist Scott C Waring believes the NASA Curiosity Rover has captured a flying bird in one of its Red Planet photos. We all have heard so much about aliens. However, it is yet to find out that aliens are myth or reality. Recently, a prominent UFO conspiracy theorist Scott C Waring believes the NASA Curiosity Rover has captured a flying bird in one of its Red Planet photos. It is to be noted that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has been exploring the Gale Crater on Mars since 2012 via its car-sized Curiosity rover. The mission of NASA’s rover involves examining the arid Martian climate, geology and even assessing whether alien life ever existed on the Red Planet. Scott Waring wrote, “This flying bird on Mars was found by Marcelo Irazusta who actually found a bird flying across the surface of Mars captured last week by the Curiosity Rover. So if this is a large bird, then it was taken by accident and was proba...

SpaceX targets 2021 For Commercial Starship Launch

Image
JAKARTA, Indonesia — The first commercial mission for SpaceX’s Starship and Super Heavy launch system will likely take place in 2021 , a company executive said June 26.  Jonathan Hofeller, SpaceX’s vice president of commercial sales, said the company is in talks with prospective customers for the first commercial launch of that system roughly two years from now.  “We are in discussions with three different customers as we speak right now to be that first mission,” Hofeller said at the APSAT conference here. “Those are all telecom companies.” SpaceX’s Super Heavy booster and Starship upper stage are being designed to launch up to 20 metric tons to geostationary transfer orbit, Hofeller said, or more than 100 metric tons to low Earth orbit . Equipped with a nine-meter payload fairing, the launch system is designed to carry crew and resources to the moon and Mars , but is also SpaceX’s next vehicle to send satellites into orbit around the Earth and elsewhere....

Nasa to send 'Dragonfly' drone to Saturn moon 'Titan'

Image
NASA is going to Titan The space agency announced today (June 27) that the next mission in its New Frontiers line of medium-cost missions will be  Dragonfly , a rotorcraft designed to ply the skies of the huge, hazy and potentially life-hosting Saturn moon. If all goes according to plan, Dragonfly will launch in 2026 and land on  Titan  eight years later, NASA officials said. The probe will then spend at least 2.5 years cruising around the 3,200-mile-wide (5,150 kilometers) moon, making two dozen flights that cover a total of about 110 miles (180 km). The 10-foot-long (3 meters) Dragonfly will gather a variety of data at each of its stops. Such work will help scientists learn more about Titan, the only solar system body other than Earth known to  host stable bodies of liquid on its surface .   Titan's surface lakes, rivers and seas aren't composed of water, however: The frigid moon's climate system is based on hydrocarbons, in particular meth...

Space Waste & Debris: The Biggest Problem We Can’t See

Image
On October 4th, 1957 the then Soviet Union (USSR) successfully launched its Sputnik 1 satellite into the Earth’s orbit. While the spherical Soviet satellite wasn’t threatening to look at (weighing a mere 184 pounds and measuring a slim 23 inches wide), its small beeping signal heard back on Earth resonated throughout the United States and was viewed as a massive threat. As it turns out, that tiny beep ignited the already simmering space race and effectively forced both countries to push their limits of innovation and technical ability to the breaking point in an effort to reach a nonexistent finish line. October 4th, 1957 was also the day that many stargazers tracked a faintly shining object as it sped around the Earth at 17,500 miles per hour. Many thought that they were looking at  Sputnik 1 but in reality, they were seeing the detached rocket body that propelled it into orbit. While Sputnik 1 was roughly the size of a large beach ball, its rocket body was nearly 85 feet lo...
